Comparison of areas under independent ROC curves

Description

Allows to compare the Area under the Curve (AUC) of two independent ROC curves.

This test is not performed on data in the spreadsheet, but on statistics you enter in a dialog box.

Required input

Enter the Area under the Curve (AUC) and Standard Error (SE) for the two ROC curves.

Comparison of areas under independent ROC curves

Click Test to test the statistical significance of the difference between the two AUCs.

Results

When the calculated P value is less than 0.05 (P<0.05), the conclusion is that the AUCs of the two ROC curves are significantly different.

Note that in MedCalc P-values are always two-sided (or two-tailed).

In an optional Comment input field you can enter a comment or conclusion that will be included on the printed report.
