Comparison of Coefficients of Variation

Description

Performs a test for the comparison of two coefficients of variation (from independent samples), expressed as a percentage.

This test is not performed on data in the spreadsheet, but on statistics you enter in a dialog box.

Required input

In the dialog box, you enter the two coefficients of variation, expressed as percentages, and the corresponding number of cases.

Click Test to test the statistical significance of the difference between the two coefficients of variation.

Comparison of Coefficients of Variation

Results

When the calculated P value is less than 0.05, the conclusion is that the two coefficients of variation are significantly different.

The test is performed according to Forkman (2009).

In an optional Comment input field you can enter a comment or conclusion that will be included on the printed report.
