MedCalc installation on a Mac using CrossOver

You can install and use MedCalc on a Mac using CrossOver®.

CrossOver builds on Wine, and is developed by CodeWeavers. CrossOver’s main advantage over plain Wine is that it delivers a polished, tested, and supported experience. However, whereas CrossOver requires a license fee, Wine is completely free and runs equally well.

1. How to Install CrossOver Mac

To install CrossOver on your Mac, visit the CrossOver website for instructions.

2. How to install MedCalc

To install MedCalc, see Installing a Listed Application in CrossOver Mac.

In the search box below "Install a Windows Application", enter "MedCalc". The procedure will download the MedCalc installer automatically.

Once the installation is complete, CrossOver displays the contents of the new "bottle". A "bottle" is CrossOver terminology for a self-contained virtual Windows environment.

Double-click the MedCalc icon to run the program.

You can also launch MedCalc directly from your Mac’s Launchpad.

Make text in user interface larger

You may find that the text used in the MedCalc user interface is too small.

To enlarge, use Wine configuration in CrossOver. In the dialog box, on the Graphics tab, enlarge the Screen resolution.

Close the dialog box and restart MedCalc.
