How should I reference MedCalc in an article I am writing?

First you get the version number of your MedCalc copy from the "About MedCalc" dialog box that appears under the "Help" menu.

For example, this will show: MedCalc Version 12.5

In your Materials and Methods section, you can then write a citation as follows:

Statistical analyses were performed using MedCalc for Windows, version 12.5 (MedCalc Software, Ostend, Belgium).
